500 g (1 lb) octopus
200 g (7 oz) potatoes
2 dl of olive oil
4 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons of sweet paprika
1 teaspoon of coarse salt
Boil the potatoes with skin in water with a pinch of salt until cooked. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the pealed and whole garlic cloves. Remove from heat and remove the cloves from the oil. Add the paprika and mix well, taking care not to burn it (pic. 1). Peal the potatoes, cut them in slices and dispense them in the serving plates. Place the octopus cut in slices of 1 cm (0.4 in) on top of each potato (pic. 2). and drizzle the preparation with the garlic sauce. Add salt and serve hot.
